Roberta A. Otten is an instructor for the Theatre & Dance Department at Lansing (Michigan) Community College in Lansing Michigan. She teaches Modern Dance, Ballet and Movement for Actors. Ms. Otten holds a B.S. in Physical Education & Dance, an M.A. in Education; and is a member of the Interplay Leaders Circle. Her 30+ year career includes sharing dance in a variety of community and educational organizations; and with intellectually and physically challenged students. She choreographs for the LCC Dance & Theatre Productions, elementary school music programs, dance as worship, Sunsets with Shakespeare and other theatre events.  In the past Roberta has choreographed for Happendance, and Kenneth Beachler at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Roberta is a three-time nominee for a Pulsar Choreography Award and earned the 2007 Award for her choreography in LCC’s production of “The Many Deaths of Shakespeare”.  She collaborates as director, choreographer and performer for S’Moves Performing Company, presenting dance, story and song at a variety of mid Michigan locations.
